Pinball Star Installs the New MPU Board in System 9 Games

For those who own System 9 pinball games, you'll be pleased to know that the sound board is no longer needed and has been incorporated into the new MPU board. This redesigned board comes with two small balancing pots that compensate for any volume differences between the MPU and sound boards.

Please note that games marked with an asterisk (*) are compatible with the Rottendog MPU011C, but you can also use this new board. The new board replaces the original MPU board in all Williams System 9 through 11B games, including early games like Comet and High Speed. For a full list of compatible games, please see below.

As part of the installation process, you'll need to provide or email me if you have access to a burner. Additionally, you'll require 6802s/6808s and ROMS to complete the installation. System 11 owners can transfer all needed chips, while System 9 (Comet, Sorcerer, Space Shuttle) owners will need to transfer over 6802s/6808s but also require three custom ROMs.
